João Cardoso is a branding specialist and co-founder of Erb’s creative studio, where he works as a brand strategist. He is a Strategic Consultant for several national and international brands, a lecturer in the Marketing and Sales specialization, in the Post-Graduation in Club Management and in the Academy Group’s TEEF and a guest lecturer at IPAM Porto.
João believes that “the construction, communication and management of a brand must be designed in a unified way. It should be embraced obliquely by all departments. The role of a Brand Strategist is, in part, similar to that of an anthropologist. We are students of culture and defenders of the meaning of brands. This means that, as much as it pains us to admit it, and to quote Ricardo Araújo Pereira, – We know almost nothing, about almost everything.”
He is also the author of several chronicles in Marketeer magazine and the podcast that shares the best marketing news of the week. A podcast that is going to revolutionize Portugal (or so he hopes) – Creativity and Modern Scenes – a Pocket Podcast about Communication, Brands and Weak Humour.
